Job Description

To support our growth, we are looking for an Underwater 3D Survey & Operations Technician to strengthen our Operations team.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be directly involved in the preparation and execution of our inspection projects in France and internationally, as well as in the processing of the data collected during these operations.

This is a hands-on, field-oriented position, combining mission preparation at our Marseille facilities, assignments at customer sites, and data processing. Following an initial training period on our equipment and methods, the objective is for you to quickly become autonomous and take responsibility for assignments alongside other members of the team.

As a hands-on, field-oriented professional, your main responsibilities will include:

• Preparing equipment and assignments from our facilities in Marseille;
• Mobilizing and installing our systems at customer sites and aboard offshore vessels and facilities;
• Carrying out photogrammetric acquisitions and underwater 3D surveys;
• Operating the systems and monitoring acquisition quality during field operations;
• Processing, analyzing, and quality-checking the data collected.

Candidate Profile

We are primarily looking for candidates with a 2- to 3-year higher education qualification (Bac+2/Bac+3) in a technical or scientific field, either recent graduates or candidates with a few years of professional experience.

A background in marine science and technology (such as Intechmer), oceanography, instrumentation, physical measurements, marine sciences, or a related technical field would provide a strong foundation for this position.

Experience in photogrammetry, offshore operations, or industrial inspection would be an advantage but is not essential: we will provide training in our technologies and working methods.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bac+2/Bac+3 qualification, or equivalent, in a technical or scientific field;
• Experience in photogrammetry, offshore operations, or industrial inspection would be an advantage;
• Practical, hands-on, resourceful, and solution-oriented mindset;
• Rigorous approach, with good written and verbal communication skills;
• Professional English, B2 level minimum;
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence when interacting with customers;
• Comfortable working in industrial environments with demanding schedules and operational constraints;
• Ability to remain calm and composed when dealing with unexpected situations during field operations;
• Strong attention to detail, data quality, and safety;
• Availability for international travel ranging from a few days to several weeks;
• Curiosity and the ability to understand technical systems.

Position Details

• Contract type: Permanent full-time contract (CDI);
• Salary: €30,000–€35,000 gross per year, plus field assignment bonuses;
• Employment status: Management-level employee (cadre), annualized working days arrangement (forfait jours);
• Location: Marseille, France, with regular travel throughout France and internationally.
